Director Advocacy Network Against Irregular Migration (ANAIM)
NGO REGISTRATION No: Mswgch/373/19
I came into setting up this NGO through personal experiences.
I was convinced of greener pastures in a refugee camp in Italy compare to my basic income in Sierra Leone as a teacher.
My experiences on taking up this dangerous venture and What I underwent in Libya where I was imprisoned (for asking for my crossing fee back) made me more focused and determine to tell the world. I witnessed firsthand the dangers of crossing the Mediterranean Sea. I am a natural advocator as I had never been trained for the role am playing. I have a very pleasant non-judgmental disposition.

My calm personality kind of suites the role am playing as I have to deal with different characters who are emotionally strong as a result of the adversities they have gone through in life.
I also help with employment with these migrant and quite a good number of them work as volunteers in my simple but very busy office and I also bring all migrants from different countries to help to share their stories in various public places raising awareness on the danger of irregular migration.

Advocacy Network against irregular migration programs are developed within the framework of four core values:

  • Transformation: Individuals and communities are transformed into ones with dignity and wholeness through a spiritual, social, economic, and physical change.

  • Sustainability: Lasting impact is realised through locally sustainable programs.

  • Empowerment: Development occurs to the extent local communities, leaders, and individuals are empowered to affect change.

  • Collaboration: The means of development are demonstrated through partnering with the local community, like-minded organisations, and individuals
